Summer School "Learning, Teaching and Reflecting on Sustainability"

The Summer School (SS1) that took place in Larnaca, Cyprus, on 26 – 30 June 2023 was the first Summer School of the TAP-TS Teacher Academy project, following other events (Online Workshops and Active Learning Events -WP3) which focused mainly on piloting the materials, resources and activities already developed under the LTPs (WP2).

Aims of the Summer School

The mission of this Summer School was to combine a number of goals in a unified set of organized content and activities. The aims were the following:

1. Pilot part of the material that had already been created (selected “chunks” of some LTPs)
2. Focus on methodological approaches and practice
3. Set the basis for the initiation of a professional learning community aiming to collaborate towards the creation of a teacher academy focusing on education for sustainability 
4. Set reflection as a core, since reflection is a primary component of any group of professionals working for their own professional learning and development.
