Project Objectives
In summary, over the life of the project, TAP-TS will:
- Build and consolidate a network of Teacher Education institutions & relevant partners that has the capacity to continue collaborative future work to provide programmes of professional initial teacher education and continuing professional development that are highly valued by teacher-participants, effective and accessible across the teaching life-course.
- Co-Design and co-develop seven (7) fully resourced, tested, and validated content modules / learning & teaching packages (LTPs) that address various dimensions of teaching sustainability and provide the competence, approaches, and confidence to do so. These will be certificate-bearing, open-source, and to ECTS Standards. Within the life of the project, our modules will provide Academy participants with innovative, attractive, and pedagogically sound learning & teaching experiences that promote capability to educate for a sustainability in inclusive and science-informed ways, and which have immediate and longer-term practical & professional value. Beyond the project they can be freely adapted/ adopted by any European teacher education institution.
- Develop and test as a project partnership three (3) different models of mobility (virtual, hybrid, and physical) involving initial teacher education and teacher CPD participants from the partnership institutions and beyond. This will involve all our partner countries and also targeted, associate partner providers of teacher education and in-service in Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia. TAP-TS Project Learning Events will involve hybrid mobility (combining online and physical); TAP-TS Online Workshops will involve virtual mobility; and TAP-TS Spring/Summer Schools will be in-person events involving full, physical mobility for participants and teaching staff from the partnership.
