Intro

During the webinars and in the course we used some game tools you can create with your own content. These tools can be used as energizer or entry activity. The tools can also be used as exit activities or for assessment.

Many of the tools are created to play a game live in the classroom with all students taking part at the same time. Here we give some examples to self-made and simple serious games students can play individually in their own time. 

Blooket

Blooket is a tool that uses matching pairs, such as a keyword and its definition or a question and a short answer.

What makes Blooket unique is the ability to apply different templates to the same set of pairs, each offering a different experience.

Blooket games can be played in class but can also be assigned as homework. In the free version the maximum assignment period is just 14. Try out any of the following games that all make use of the same set of matching pairs.

Breshna

Breshna  offers a wide range of templates you can use to build your own games you can share with your students. All the digital games are meant for individual play and are very suitable for online courses.

Quizlet

Quizlet is a tool to create digital flash cards. Starting from a set of matching items you submit, the tool offers some games you can play , either all together in the classroom or individually.
